A Weekend for Art Lovers and Wine Enthusiasts
The first annual Georgetown Art & Wine Walk will be held
from June 9 to 11, 2023, on the streets of Georgetown, South Carolina. This
multi-venue and event art festival is for art lovers of all ages, wine
enthusiasts and anyone else that enjoys strolling the streets of a beautiful,
historic Southern harbor city, sampling its food and shops.
Enjoy indoor and outdoor exhibitions and events along the Front Street Business district. There’ll be living and interactive art displays, juried art and photography exhibits, an open air art fair, kids’ art projects, local artists painting live and live music. On Saturday, join in the Art & Wine Stroll, a wine tasting event at various venues.
The
main event is a juried fine art show sponsored by in part by the Georgetown
Business Association. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Village Group,
a volunteer-based nonprofit organization that offers after-school programs for
children living in the county. Over $3,000 in cash awards are planned for the
art section and judges will select winners in 2D art and 3D art with prizes
ranging from $125 to $600.
