Consider having a great family fun time at an evening Farmers Market hosted by The Purple  Chicken, a local veteran and family-owned farm, from 3 to 7 p.m. on November 19 and 20 in Jacksonville. Vendors will offer livestock, pet-related, homemade and handmade items along with

direct sales and there’ll also be free games, food, baby farm animals and more.

Further, many animals will be onsite for children to see and pet. Attendees will be able to meet working food providers and try new fruits and vegetables. Allowing kids to help in the selection can help them feel involved in meal planning and also inspire healthier eating habits.
